MORE studio shots..

Sometimes at EVIT we have hardly any models in the studio, then sometimes it seems like they come in by the dozens. These past few months they've been coming in by the dozens. Here are a few shots that I like quite a bit :)

I do wwaayyy too many close-ups. But I can't help it. They're all amazing!!

This model was not my typical model... but I LOVED how she modeled!! Such a talent!

It's been such a long time I've shot pictures in somewhere other than the studio, this was a nice chance to get back to my 'roots'!

Oh, how I love repeat customers! I've photographed this little cutie and her mom from the time she was in her Mommy's stomach to now- at 6 months old. Her and her cousin are precious!

Your Future

So! This is PART of my photo project, I figured it would be nice to show a few. This project was definitely challenging, most of the time I'm taking pictures of people who I know pretty well, not total strangers. But it was a great learning experience for me. It taught me a lot about people... how different we all are. I am not exaggerating when I say that each one was a whole different experience. Each subject had a different story to tell, whether they wanted to or not, when I asked them to finish the sentence 'the future is....' as I took pictures, their story was apparent. Some had their whole life planned out, some had no idea at all, some bubbly, others solemn and serious, a few were open with their feelings, while most were clearly uncomfortable in front of the camera. All of them had one thing in common though, that inner desire to be better than they are.

Last year, when I was just getting used to the studio, we took pictures of this model. All of the photographers were in utter shock of her talent, and we were so glad when she approached us and asked to take some more pictures of her. We all gladly agreed :) I tried to do editing styles that were a little out of my comfort zone on these, and push the envelope on what I consider 'safe editing'. Should i push the editing more often?
